Excellent POE Switch for Home Networking
As someone with over 25 years of experience in the networking field, I’ve found TP-Link to be a reliable manufacturer of network gear. This POE switch is no exception—it’s fantastic.
I’ve connected four POE cameras to this switch, and it handles them effortlessly. The switch is integrated into my TP-Link Deco setup for Wi-Fi coverage in a standalone garage. The interface is straightforward and user-friendly, which is a refreshing change for someone accustomed to working with CLI on Cisco and Juniper products for many years.
If I had to offer suggestions for improvement, I’d say that a built-in or smaller power supply would be preferable over the current size. Additionally, having a CLI and SSH option would make the switch even more versatile, especially for professionals accustomed to those interfaces.
Overall, this TP-Link POE switch is an excellent choice for home networking needs, offering reliability and ease of use.
